Summary

Drug abuse is still prevalent in Indonesia. According to doctors and experts, this is caused by lack of socialization and public awareness of the dangers of drug abuse, as well as limited knowledge about drugs such as their side effects and dangers. With the advancement of technology that helps aspects of modern human life, it is possible to create a system in the form of a program or application that can help people recognize and diagnose the symptoms and types of drugs used by users independently. This will have an impact on increasing public awareness and knowledge about the dangers of using drugs outside of medical purposes, what are the common types of drugs on the market that should be avoided, and how to recognize and handle drug abuse within our family, relatives, or friends. This program is based on an expert system using Breadth First Search (BFS) and Forward Chaining methods to search and identify the types of drugs abused based on the symptoms experienced by the user.
