Summary:This study discusses the implementation and violations of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) at PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero), where GCG is regulated by Law Number 19 of 2003 concerning State- Owned Enterprises and Financial Services Authority Regulation Number 73/POJK.05/2016 regarding Good Corporate Governance for Insurance Companies. PT Asuransi Jiwasraya is one of the state-owned enterprises involved in a default case, indicating a violation of GCG principles within state-owned enterprises. This research employs a normative juridical method, with qualitative data analysis from legal materials and literature. The findings of the study identify the importance of implementing GCG in state- owned enterprises and highlight the violations of GCG leading to the case of PT Asuransi Jiwasraya. The implication of this research underscores the necessity for improved management and implementation of GCG in insurance companies, particularly those under state ownership.
