| 520 | |a This research aims to discuss the increase or decrease in the quality of democracy at the local level with the postponement of regional head elections in 2022, and the impact that occur as a result of the postponement of the DKI Jakarta regional head elections in 2022. This research uses the theory of political decentralization and quality democracy. The method used is descriptive qualitative using primary data sources produced through interviews with Bawaslu, Kebakesbangpol, BPS (Badan Pusat Statistik), Perludem, and academics. Using the Indeks Demokrasi Indonesia (IDI) and the Indeks Keterbukaan Informasi Publik (IKIP), the research results show that overall there has been an increase in the democracy index in DKI Jakarta, from 76,24 to 80,21. However, these indices have not fully determine whether or not high-quality democracy is in the practical life of democracy, because democracy is a continuous 'becoming' process. The 'becoming' process needs to be carried out both in improving existing indices (in this case IKIP and IDI) or improving democracy itself. | ||
