Summary

A non-ergonomic workplace can cause musculoskeletal disorders complains from the workers. This research focuses on a jewelry workshop in Depok that still uses manual techniques to produce rings, earrings, and other kind of jewelries. Based on the observation, some workers at the shop employ less ergonomic work postures. Such instances can be found during the smelting and tripping process where workers are standing up during the process and other process in which the workers are bending over. Such work postures can increase musculoskeletal disorders risk. This research aims to investigate the workers' posture values according to RULA and give suggestions to improve the working postures in order to decrease the musculoskeletal disorders risk by using workers' anthropometrics data
