Description
Summary:PT. XYZ is a manufacture in the field of chemical products for textile auxiliaries and textile dyes. There are several problems with one of the suppliers of raw materials, including late, defects, mismatches, and late delivery. For this reason, it is important for PT. XYZ chooses suppliers by prioritizing the good quality of its suppliers and products. So to solve these problems, the approach used in this study is the AHP method combined with QFD. This method is used because it has several advantages compared to other methods. Some of the advantages of the AHP and QFD methods, namely the AHP method include attributes that are free and not bound to each other, considering the relative priority of factors in the system so that people are able to choose the best alternative based on the objectives. While the QFD method, among others, translates the needs of consumers (the company) into technical requirements for suppliers so that they can meet the needs of consumers. Based on the results of the assessment that has been done, the criteria of WHATs which have the highest priority weight to the smallest sequence are Quality and Cost having the same importance weight, followed by Delivery then Service. Relative Weight of the most influential HOWs criteria is the Raw Material Procurement Criteria which gets the highest Relative Weight of 40%. Furthermore, Quality System Certification is 33%, Geographical Position is 10%, Experience is 9%, Technical Capability is 5%, Financial Stability is 2% and finally Attitude is 1%. The final result of Supplier performance value obtained after VOE criteria weight multiplied by Relative Weight is Supplier 3 which has the most potential and meets the criteria of Voice of Customer and Voice of engineer with a value of 0.300054. Next is Supplier 2 with a value of 0.299791, Supplier 1 with a value of 0. 224626, and the last is supplier 4 with a value of 0.174592.
