Personal Hygiene Behavior Menstrual compilation is an action that involves health and hygiene in the female area during menstruation. Personal hygiene behavior that is not good when menstruation can cause disruption of the function of the reproductive organs. Personal hygiene behavior is influenced by a good perception of social support. This study aims to determine the relationship of perception of social support with personal hygiene behavior when menstruating in young women. This type of research is quantitative with the design of this study is cross sectional. The number of respondents in this study were 158 young women. This research is analytic descriptive and the sampling technique is chi square. Presentation of data is done by using a frequency distribution table. The results showed the perception of social support was good (54,4%) and personal hygiene behavior was not good (52,5%). From the bivariate analysis there was a correlation between the perception of social support and personal hygiene behavior during menstruation (p = 0.006). This research suggests for adolescents to improve personal hygiene behavior during menstruation by maintaining personal hygiene and equip themselves as much as possible with the knowledge and experience gained from family, friends or the mass media. For the school can work together with the nearest agencies or health workers to hold a seminar on menstrual hygiene management (MKM).
