| 520 | |a The problem of smoking is one of the health problems in Indonesia. In adolescents this is increasing with the number of adolescents who decide to smoke, due to intrinsic factors (masculine perception) and extrinsic factors (peer conformity and parental communication). This study discusses the relationship between masculine perceptions, peer conformity, and parental communication with smoking decisions in adolescent boys at SMAN 1 Depok. The method used is descriptive analytic with cross-sectional design. The sampling technique uses cluster sampling with a total sample of 187 adolescents. Data analysis used was univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with Chi Square test. The results of this study indicate there is a relationship between masculine perceptions with smoking decisions (p value = 0.001), there is a relationship between peer conformity with smoking decisions (p value = 0,000), and there is a relationship between parental communication with smoking decisions (p value = 0 , 01). Adolescent discharge has a strong self-confidence so it is not necessary in real men. In addition, opposing adolescents oppose the rules in peer groups if the rules applied are deviant like smoking.
