Summary:Indonesia was blessed a vast ocean with various fish resources in it. Indonesia is the largest archipelago country in the world because it has a large sea area and a large number of islands. Indonesia has supplied more than 16% of the world's Tuna, mackerel tuna and skipjack tuna production. tuna and skipjack have an important role for the capture fisheries sector in Indonesia. tuna and skipjack production has continued to increase from 2000 to 2015. Increased production of tuna and skipjack shows that the high level of demand for these two commodities. Longline is one of the effective fishing gear and specifically intended to catch tuna. Longline tuna ship as one of the fishing fleets, is currently still a mainstay for the tuna fishing business unit. In the design of this fishing boat using a fishing gear in the form of Long Line. The ship will be operated to catch fish in the Indian Ocean waters, and to load and unload fish caught at the Bungus Fishery Port, Padang. . The result of the design obtained fishing vessels with total lenght (Loa) = 27.3 m, perpendicular lenght (Lpp) = 26 m, Breadth (B) = 7.8, Depth (H) = 3.7, Draft (T) = 3.1, block coefficient (Cb) = 0.548, displacement = 334.591 ton, engine power 500 hp with a maximum speed of 10 knots, and can accomodate 87.8 tons of fish. Besides this design ship also has stability that has met the requirements of the IMO (International Maritime Organization).
