| Summary: | This study discusses the Impact of Increased Imports of Electronics and Telematics Products from China in the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA) on the Indonesian Local Products Market. ACFTA entered into force since January 1, 2010 between ASEAN countries and China. This free trade cooperation is considered to be able to provide benefits through the elimination of entry tariffs for products to be exported to ACFTA member countries. With this free trade cooperation, it will directly affect the local market in Indonesia because of the flood of imported products from China. So that this research raises research questions, "How is the impact of the increase in electronics and telematics products from China in the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA) on the Indonesian local market 2011-2016?" To answer this question, researchers use theories and concepts: Comparatitive Advantage and also the concept of Free Trade Agreement which are interrelated with this research. The method used is descriptive qualitative method that emphasizes exploration and clarification to describe the finding variables relating to this study. The results found in this study are the weakening of the competitiveness of local electronic and telematics products in the country as well as a decrease in the absorption of labor in the electronics and telematics industry sector in Indonesia. |
