520 |a The WTIP facility has many units, one of which is the Storage Tank, this research will specifically discuss the design of the T-100 storage tank. The storage tank referred to here is a Field Erected Tank that has a capacity of 24,000 Barrels. In addition, the storage tank has quite a number of components that need to be reviewed in the implementation of the design process. The problem that arises this time is that there is no concrete design / layout yet, it is only a simple model and needs to be optimized in several parts. Optimization is done by comparing various types of existing components, then selecting the best components. The components referred to here include Roof, Shell courses, bottom and annular rings, Appurtenances, Wind girder and Stiffener, and Elevation Type. In the construction of the Tile Tank requires a material in the form of a very dominant steel plate used. Almost the entire tank is built by arranging steel plates, then welded to produce components such as Roof, Shell, and Bottom. The result of this optimization is the design of the Hoard Tank better than the previous simple model, with clear specifications and all kinds of components selected from the best.
