| 520 | |a This article discusses the role of USAID and the United States in strengthening Indonesia's sustainable fisheries management that has the potential for the Indonesian economy and for protecting marine resources must be carried out as well as possible due to the threat of IUU fishing. Management of conservation areas and management of fisheries that are not optimal is a threat to the fisheries and marine sector. As a maritime country that is surrounded by the sea and has a strategic position, Indonesia's abundant marine resource wealth makes it a challenge where Indonesia must strive to preserve and make the best use of fisheries resources in Indonesia. Since 2016 Indonesia has been working with the United States through the Sustainable Ecosystems Advanced program as a step to support Indonesia's efforts to improve sustainable fisheries management and marine biodiversity conservation. This collaboration was realized through assistance carried out by the US Agency for International Development (USAID). The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach. The author gets the data through library research that is collecting data from books, articles, journals, and the internet. The final results in this paper would like to show that the cooperation carried out has an important role for Indonesia to develop the maritime sector. | ||
