Summary:Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) are infections that do not appear when someone entering the hospital environment. Hospitals as a health service facility must fulfill many quality indicators, including Infection Prevention and Control. Hospital nurses have a role to provide health services by applying the Infection Prevention and control rules. This study had used a comparative descriptive method and design with a cross sectional approach, which aims to determine the relationship between knowledge, motivation, and workload with the performance of nurses in implementing prevention of nosocomial infections in the inpatient room of type C Jakarta Hospital. In this study, sample was a total of 44 nurses who met the criteria at type C Jakarta Hospital, conducted in December 2020 using a questionnaire instrument. Bivariate analysis using Chi-Square test with α = 0.05. Knowledge (p= 0,024; OR= 4,44; 95%CI= 1,17-16,8), motivation (p= 0,006; OR= 6,28; 95%CI= 1,59-24,7), and workload (p= 0,431; OR= 1,66; 95%CI= 0,46-5,92). There is a significant relationship between knowledge and motivation with the performance of nurses in implementing prevention of nosocomial infections in the patient room of type C Jakarta Hospital in 2020. To provide health services in accordance with the Infection Prevention and Control guidelines, the hospital should conduct routine socialization and evaluation on the implementation of prevention of nosocomial infections and basic Infection Prevention and Control training.
