Description
Summary:Eastern Indonesia, especially North Maluku, is the largest nickel mining area in Indonesia, so the demand transportation for the transportation of its mines, namely barges, will increase quite rapidly. Until now, the shipyard industry in this area has not been realized, which means that barge production and repair are still being carried out on the island of Java. The construction of a new shipyard in the area is an innovation aimed at increasing the productivity of the transportation of its mining products. However, investing in land is something that is always considered at an early stage of planning. Therefore, choosing land that is far from residential areas such as in the village of Sidangoli Gam, South Jailolo District, West Halmahera Regency, North Maluku is the right choice. This shipyard plan is only intended for the 300 feet long barge and tugboats. Morowali, Central Sulawesi where there is PT. Nickel and Stainless Steel Industry Guang Ching Indonesia, PT. Tsingshan Steel Indonesia and several others who can become suppliers for steel materials required for repair or new buildings. In areas with shallow waters the air bag system is more suitable as a media docking or independent from the tides so that it can be done at any time. This shipyard planning is to provide construction and maintenance services for barges at mining sites and to attract investors to be able to develop shipyards in the area.
