| Summary: | Stroke is the sudden death of some brain cells due to lack of oxygen when blood flow to the brain is lost by blockage or rupture of an artery to the brain. According to WHO, stroke is the second leading cause of death and the third leading cause of disability in the world. In Indonesia, as many as 10.9 per 1,000 Indonesians experienced a stroke in 2018.15% of acute strokes are hemorrhagic strokes caused by ruptured blood vessels. Many factors influence the incidence of hemorrhagic stroke. This study aims to determine the relationship between pulse pressure and the incidence of mortality in hemorrhagic stroke patients at RSUD Cileungsi 2016 - 2019. The design of this study used a cross sectional method with the consecutive sampling technique. There were 111 respondents included. The results showed that there were more patients alive, as many as 61 patients (48.4%) acute hemorrhagic stroke at RSUD Cileungsi in 2016-2019. The results of the bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test showed that there was a relationship between pulse pressure and mortality in acute hemorrhagic stroke patients (p = 0.026). Acute hemorrhagic stroke patients who had a dilated pulse pressure were 3 times more likely to have a mortality risk than those with normal or narrowed pulse pressure (OR = 3.070). |
