Evaluation in Germany: An Overview

Even though often considered being a "late-starter" concerning evaluation, the beginnings for systematic inquiry into impacts of governmental programs in Germany parallel the developments in the U.S. where evaluation became particularly prominent during the 1960s and from then on.
