The role of the radiotherapist in the control of pain
It is a popular misconception that all patients with malignant disease die in great pain, in fact, few patients do have this problem. It can be dealt with by radiation - particularly for bone pain, cytotoxic, and analgesic drugs. Regular use of drugs is better than waiting for pain to become severe.
