| Summary: | <p> </p><p>Este artigo pretende somar-se às pesquisas sobre a história da imprensa de caráter educacional, contribuindo com a análise de uma revista ilustrada, <em>A Escola, </em>sub-intitulada como <em>Instrucção, Lavoura, Commercio, Industrias, Sciencias, Lettras. Anes e Humorismo. etc, </em>editorada em Uberabinha, MG (atual Uberlândia), na região do Triângulo Mineiro, entre 1920 e 1921. Trata-se de uma revista não eminentemente educacional, no entanto, ela põe em circulação, durante esse curto ciclo de vida, interessantes discussões sobre o analfabetismo brasileiro e sobre a municipalização do ensino; além disso, faz a defesa da pedagogia moderna. Através deste estudo, pode-se reviver também o ideário positivista brasileiro debruçado sobre o campo da educação brasileira.</p><p class="Estilo">Palavras-chave: imprensa, <em>A Escola</em>, Triângulo Mineiro.</p> <p class="Estilo"> </p> <p class="Estilo">Abstract</p> <p class="Estilo">This article intends to be added to the researches of the history of the press of educational character, contributing to the analysis of an illustrated periodical, <em>A Escola, </em>under the subtitle <em>lnstrucção. Lavoura, Commercio, lndustrias, Sciencias, Letras, Artes e Humorismo, etc., </em>edited in Uberabinha, MG (presently Uberlândia), in the region of Triângulo Mineiro, within 1920 and 1921. It is a periodical clearly not educational; nevertheless it conveys during one year of existence, interesting discussions about illiteracy in Brazil and about the municipalization of education; in addition, it argues in favor a modern pedagogy. By means of this study, the Brazilian positivist trend, carried over to education, can be observed.</p> <p class="Estilo">Keywords: press, <em>A Escola</em>, Triângulo Mineiro.</p><p class="Estilo"> </p> |
