Los Estudios Sociales de la Ciencia y la Tecnología, también denominados Estudios (CTS) se constituyen como una disciplina que hace énfasis en su carácter social, ofrecen una visión de ambas como actividades sociales, lo que garantiza su análisis como componentes de la cultura, y la investigación de los factores que entorpecen o propician el desenvolvimiento de la creatividad científica. El proceso de universalización de la Enseñanza Superior Cubana y en especial la médica coloca a la universidad en el centro de los problemas sociales, esta circunstancia hace que la actividad de investigación se convierta en una necesidad de primer orden en el quehacer universitario cubano. Atendiendo a esta coyuntura el Vicedecanato de Investigaciones y Postgrado de la Facultad de Tecnologías de la Salud se encuentra enfrascado en la ejecución de un proyecto de investigación - acción que tiene como punto de partida el bajo nivel de participación de los docentes en la investigación y como objetivo general incorporar a los mismos de manera sistemática y sostenida a la actividad de investigación a través de una estrategia que permita la trasformación y desarrollo de la cultura científica del claustro<br>The Social Studies of the Science and the Technology, also denominated Studies (CTS) they are constituted like a discipline that makes emphasis in its social character, offers a vision of both as social activities, what guarantees its analysis like components of the culture, and the investigation of the factors that hinder or they propitiate the development of the scientific creativity. The process of universalization of the Cuban Higher education and especially the doctor places to the university in the center of the social problems, this circumstance makes that the investigation activity becomes a necessity of first order in the Cuban university chore. Assisting to this joint the Vicedecanato of Investigations and Graduate degree of the Ability of Technologies of the Health is buried in the execution of an investigation project - action that has as starting point the first floor level of participation of the educational ones in the investigation and as general objective to incorporate to the same in a systematic way and sustained to the investigation activity through a strategy that allows the trasformación and development of the scientific culture of the cloister
