| 520 | |a Background. : Hypertension is a serious health problem in the world. The prevalence is high and likely to increase, as well as the risk of complications is very great therefore blood pressure control is necessary. One effort is to control blood pressure regulation, especially potassium intake and nutrition counseling so blood pressure stays in control. Objective. This research aims to know the correlation between potassium intake and nutrition counseling with blood pressure in hypertension patients in hospital outpatient Dr.Moewardi Surakarta. Research Method. Type of the research is analytical observational with cross-sectional approach. Techniques subjects using consecutive sampling with total research subjects 32 subjects. Percentage nutrition counseling using interview method, potassium intake using recall 3 x 24 hour method, whereas the levels of blood pressure measurements obtained with this method using a sphygmomanometer. Correlation test using pearson product moment and fisher exact. Result. Most patients with hypertension in Poly Medicine Hospital Dr. Moewardi Surakarta had never done nutrition counseling visits as many as 68.8% . As many as 75% patients have uncontrolled blood pressure and patients with less potassium intake as many as 71,8% . | ||
