Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran Think Pair Share terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen kuasi dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Sukagalih 7 Bandung tahun ajaran 2014-2015 yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Data yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dikumpulkan melalui instrumen berupa posttest. Data dianalisis dengan teknik komparasi/perbandingan yaitu membandingkan antara skor posttest kelompok eksperimen dan postest kelompok kontrol. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t untuk mengukur uji beda dua rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) hasil posttest menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share memiliki nilai rata-rata lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional , (2) hasil uji-t menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dan model pembelajaran konvensional. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas V. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan telah teruji kebenarannya. Rekomendasi penelitian ini untuk guru Sekolah Dasar dapat dijadikan dasar untuk menjadikan model Think Pair Share sebagai alternative model pembelajaran IPS. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya, perlu mengembangkan model pembelajaran untuk lebih memperinci Kompetensi Dasar yang dapat digunakan dengan model Think Pair Share. Student learning outcomes of Social Science subject in elementary school is still considered as low. It is also found that there are still a few learning models that are actually applied by the teachers. According to that condition, a research needs to be done to find out about the best learning model that can improve the students learning outcomes of Social Science subject. This study aimed to describe the influence of Think Pair Share learning model on student learning outcomes of Social Science subject. This is a quantitative research which used quasi experimental method with Nonequivalent Control Group Design as its research design. The subject of this study is grade 5th students of SDN Sukagalih 7 Bandung of academic year 2014/2015 and selected using saturation sampling technique. The data used to find out the students learning outcomes were collected using post-test instrument. The researcher analyzed the data using comparison technique by comparing the post-test score of the experiment group and the post-test score of the control group. T - test was used as the analyzing data technique to compare the means of the two groups. The result of the study shows that (1) The post-test result of the group that used Think Pair Share learning model has higher average score compared to the group that used conventional learning model, (2) the t - test result shows that there is a significant difference between the Think Pair Share learning model and conventional learning model. The conclusion of this study is that Think Pair Share learning model can influence grade 5th students learning outcomes of Social Science subject. This result shows that the generated hypothesis is proven. The result of this study is recommended for Elementary school teachers to be used as a reference to apply Think Pair Share as an alternative learning model for Social Science subject. For further research, it is suggested to develop the learning model so that it can specify the basic competence that can be used along with Think Pair Share.
