Summary:This study is based on the importance of social skills for students in their positive psychological development and peer relationships. Nowadays online games become one of technological innovations that recognized its existence as entertainment among children, teenager and even adults. Online game has an impact on player including aspect of sociall skills. This study aims to describe the contribution of online games to social skills of class 8th student's, with quantitative approach through descriptive methods using probability sampling, with simple random sampling technique to 239 respondent. The result of the study showed that there is no contribution of online games for the social skills of student. The result of the study can be used as an illustration for guidance and counseling teacher that online games does not always have a negative impact on the low social skills of student's.---- Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pentingnya keterampilan sosial bagi peserta didik dalam perkembangan psikologis yang positif dan hubungan dengan teman sebaya. Saat ini bermain daring sebagai salah satu inovasi teknologi sudah diakui keberadaannya sebagai hiburan di kalangan anak, remaja, bahkan orang dewasa. Bermain daring memiliki dampak terhadap pemainnya termasuk aspek keterampilan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kontribusi bermain daring terhadap keterampilan sosial peserta didik kelas VIII, dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metode deskriptif dan menggunakan probabilty sampling, dengan teknik simple random sampling sebanyak 239 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa cenderung tidak terdapat kontribusi bermain daring terhadap keterampilan sosial peserta didik. Hasil penelitian dapat dijadikan sebagai gambaran untuk guru bimbingan dan konseling bahwa bermain daring tidak selalu berdampak negatif terhadap rendahnya keterampilan sosial peserta didik.
