520 | |a This study analyzes about any translation techniques used by 8th semester student of French Education Departement FPBS UPI in Academic Year 2017/2018 to translate narrative text and difficulties encountered by respondents in translating. This study used descriptive qualitative method. For data collection stage, the techniques used in this study is test, questionnaire and document study. Data reduction, data display and conclusion verification are used for data analysis technique stage. Based on the results of the study, there are 13 translation techniques used, namely amplification, borrowing, calque, compensation, description, discursive creation, etablished equivalence, generalization, literal translation, modulation, reduction, transposition and variation. Literal translation technique is the most widely used by respondents for translate narrative text. From the results of questionnaire data concluded that difficulties that are often encountered by respondents are little vocabulary which are owned and text niveau is too difficult. ;---Penelitian ini menganalisis teknik penerjemahan apa saja yang digunakan (preferensi) oleh mahasiswa semester VIII Depertemen Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis FPBS UPI tahun ajaran 2017/2018 untuk menerjemahkan teks narasi serta kesulitan-kesulitan yang dihadapi responden dalam menerjemahkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan diantaranya tes, angket dan studi kepustakaan. Dalam teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti menemukan sebanyak 13 teknik penerjemahan yang digunakan oleh responden yaitu: amplifikasi, peminjaman, kalke, kompensasi, deskripsi, kreasi diskursif, padanan lazim, generalisasi, penerjemahan harfiah, modulasi, reduksi, transposisi serta variasi. Teknik penerjemahan harfiah merupakan teknik yang paling banyak digunakan oleh responden untuk menerjemahkan teks narasi. Dari hasil data angket didapat kesimpulan bahwa kesulitan-kesulitan yang sering dihadapi oleh responden salah satunya perbendaharaan kosakata yang masih terlalu sedikit dan niveau teks yang terlalu sulit. | ||
