Summary

This study aims to determine the occurrence and enforcement of criminal law for a criminal act of corruption in the purchase of Airbus aircraft belonging to PT Garuda Indonesia Persero Tbk. This type of research is juridical-normative legal research with the type of library research. Remmelink argues that criminal law is not aimed at oneself but aims to obtain legal order, in order to protect the legal community. Corruption is still a very serious problem in Indonesia. Enforcement in criminal acts of corruption has various forms of sanctions that already exist in material criminal law in Indonesia. There are many forms of opportunity to commit acts of corruption, one of which is bribery in the procurement of new aircraft in the PT. Garuda Indonesia, which was carried out by the Rolls Royce company to the former President Director of Garuda, Emirsyah Satar, through an intermediary for the Beneficial Owner Connaught International Pte. Ltd, Soetikno Soedarjo.
