This results in medical students conducting online learning activities using electronic equipment. The use of a laptop can lead to risk factors for neck pain including sitting posture, sitting time, and the size of laptop. Preclinical medical students have a high prevalence of musculoskeletal pain with laptop use, most of that is neck pain. This study aims to determine the effect of risk factors in using laptops on neck pain in medical students. This research was conducted in a cross-sectional method on 56 medical student respondents in DKI Jakarta. The results of the study found that all respondents experienced musculoskeletal pain, most of whom experienced lower neck pain. Most respondents have a low-risk sitting posture (score 3-4), sit using a laptop for more than or equal to 8 hours a day, and use a laptop with a screen size greater than or equal to 14 inches. Based on the results of data analysis, there was no effect of sitting posture, sitting time, and laptop size on neck pain, both upper and lower neck pain.
