520 |a A person's nutritional status can be seen how much individual physiological needs have been met. One of the factors that can affect nutritional status is diet and nutritional adequacy level. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between diet and nutritional adequacy levels with nutritional status in adolescents aged 16-18 years at the Jonggol Orphanage. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design approach. The population in this study were adolescents aged 16-18 years at the Jonggol Orphanage with a total of 31 people. The sample to be used in this study was taken using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through data collection on weight and height, SQ-FFQ interviews and 24-Hour Food Recall. The statistical test of this study used the Chi-Square and Spearman Rank tests. The results of statistical tests showed that there was a relationship between nutritional status and the level of energy adequacy (p = 0.001) and the level of carbohydrate adequacy (p = 0.001). However, there was no relationship between nutritional status and diet (p = 0.504), frequency of eating patterns (p = 0.802), protein adequacy level (p = 0.481) and fat adequacy level (p = 0.121). Suggestions from this study are that the orphanage manager can cooperate with institutions in the field of nutrition to intervene and provide knowledge for orphanages.
