Summary

The judge is an executor of judicial duties in the judiciary and carries out the task of exercising judicial power. Judges are also God's commandments who are credited with explaining unclear cases in court. So that judges must have independent, integrity and impartial nature. This research aims to find out how the employment status of judges within the scope of the Supreme Court and how the ideal selection process in creating independent judicial power, integrity and impartiality. The research was conducted using a qualitative method with a statutory and conceptual approach. The result of the research is that judges are state officials who still use the civil servant system to manage judges. And its own mechanism is needed for the selection process of judges so that they no longer experience termination of meaning and are trapped in the civil servant system.
