| Summary: | Objective PJB is the most common of all congenital disorders with a prevalence of 1% of all live births. Based on the available prevalence, children with CHD have a higher risk of malnutrition which can increase morbidity and mortality in CHD patients themselves. This study aims to analyze the association of congenital heart disease with nutritional status in children. Method This study used a cross-sectional observational analytic method with a total sample of 62 samples taken with simple random sampling technique using medical record data from June - November 2023 at Hermina Hospital Bogor. The samples used in this study were children aged 0 months - 5 years who fit the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Result The results of this study obtained 245 PJB patients with 62 patients meeting the research criteria consisting of 31 cyanotic PJB patients and 31 asianotic PJB patients. In the bivariate analysis of this study, the p-value = 0.009 was obtained, indicating a significant relationship between the two variables. This study used OR 2.5 and CI 95%. Conclusion Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a meaningful or significant relationship between cyanotic and asianotic congenital heart disease and nutritional status in children aged 0 months - 5 years at RS Hermina Bogor. |
