| Summary: | This study is entitled "Representation of the Meaning of Defending the Country in Photo Activity" Fisip Care 2019 "using (Roland Barthes Semiotics Analysis). The purpose of this study was to determine the meaning of State Defending contained in Photography "Fisip Care 2019" activities carried out by BEM Fisip Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jakarta, using the Roland Barthes semiotic method. The approach of this study is qualitative with an analysis that represents the meaning of defending the country which is based on research in order to strengthen the meaning of the symbols that exist in Photography "Fisip Care 2019". This data collection technique is in the form of a collection of photos, library research, social media, and documentation studies. The photo is analyzed based on the theory of analyzing analysis through denotation, connotation and myth based on the analysis of Roland Barthes Semiotics. The photo has been taken through a camera visually with the concept of activity photos where the implementation of activities based on state defense is clearly seen in educational institutions. This research focuses on, that the meaning conveyed in the photos of the "Fisip Care 2019" activity is to inform about the activities of defending the country capable of being carried out in any field, not only by war.
